Tips & Tricks (5)
- Toast Bagels First for Crispy Texture 🥯Lightly toast the bagel halves for 2-3 minutes before adding toppings to create a crispy exterior that won't become soggy from the tomato sauce and cheese.
- Spread Sauce Thin and Evenly 🍅Use the back of a spoon to spread tomato sauce in a thin, even layer rather than dolloping it on—this prevents pooling and ensures consistent flavor in every bite.
- Don't Overload with Cheese 🧀Use a modest amount of mozzarella (about 1-2 tablespoons per bagel half) so it melts evenly rather than creating thick, rubbery patches that won't cook through properly.
- Bloom Garlic Powder in Oil 🧄Mix garlic powder with a tiny drizzle of olive oil before sprinkling on bagels to activate and intensify the flavor rather than applying it dry.
- Broil at the End for Perfect Melt ✨Instead of baking, finish your pizza bagels under the broiler for 1-2 minutes to get bubbly, slightly browned cheese with a still-soft bagel interior.
