Ingredients
- 10 ½ ounces - chicken breast
- 1 ½ teaspoons - salt
- ½ tsp - black pepper
- 2 teaspoons - paprika
- 2 teaspoons - garlic powder
- 1 tbsp - honey
- 2 tablespoons - BBQ sauce
- 1 - onion
- 2 tablespoons - oil
- 6 - tortillas
- 1 ½ cups - cheese
- cilantro lime sauce
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the honey, BBQ sauce, salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Set aside, this ensures even flavor later and prevents over-seasoning in the pan.
- Heat a pan with a little oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and sauté until soft and lightly golden. Add the diced chicken and cook until it’s almost done.
- Pour the prepared honey BBQ mixture into the pan. Toss well so the chicken and onions are fully coated. Let it simmer briefly until sticky and glossy.
- Heat a lightly oiled pan. Place a tortilla in the pan, add a layer of cheese, spoon in the honey BBQ chicken mixture, then add a little more cheese on top. Fold the tortilla.
- Toast the tacos on both sides until golden and crispy and the cheese is fully melted.
