Ingredients
- 500 grams - all-purpose flour
- 7 grams - instant yeast
- 2 teaspoons - salt
- 2 ½ teaspoons - honey
- 20 grams - butter
- 150 milliliters - milk
- 160 milliliters - water
- ½ tsp - dried oregano
- Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine flour, instant yeast, salt, and dried oregano. Add honey, melted butter, milk, and water. Mix until a dough forms, then knead for about 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm (not hot) place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces. Shape each piece into an oval sandwich-bread shape and place them on a lined baking tray.
- Let the shaped dough rest for about 20–30 minutes. Before baking, score each loaf with 4 shallow slashes. Sprinkle generously with Parmesan and oregano.
- Place a small oven-safe dish with water on the bottom of the oven to create steam.
- Bake at 190°C (375°F) for 20–22 minutes, until golden brown and baked through.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before slicing.
