Tips & Tricks (5)
- Pre-Cook Gnocchi Separately 🍝Boil gnocchi until they float plus 1-2 minutes, then toss with olive oil before adding to the sheet pan to prevent them from absorbing excess moisture and becoming mushy during baking.
- Sear Sausage First for Better Crust 🔥Brown the Italian sausage in a hot pan before placing on the sheet to develop a flavorful caramelized exterior, then return to the sheet with other ingredients for finishing.
- Cut Vegetables Uniformly for Even Cooking 🔪Ensure all peppers, onions, and broccoli are cut to roughly the same size so they cook evenly and simultaneously, preventing some from being undercooked or overcooked.
- Reserve Italian Dressing for Finishing Touch 🍶Drizzle half the Italian dressing at the start and save the remainder to dress everything fresh after cooking, maintaining bright flavors and preventing herb dilution from heat.
- Maximize Parmesan Crispness ✨Add half the Parmesan halfway through baking and the remainder in the final 2 minutes—this creates a golden, crispy layer without burning while maintaining optimal flavor distribution.
