Tips & Tricks (5)
- Soak for Superior Crispness 💧Soak cut sweet potato fries in cold water for 30 minutes before cooking to remove excess starch, resulting in extra-crispy exteriors and fluffy interiors.
- Double-Cook Technique 🍟Fry at 325°F for 5-7 minutes, remove and rest 2 minutes, then fry again at 375°F for 2-3 minutes for restaurant-quality crispness and golden color.
- Pat Dry Completely 🧻After soaking, thoroughly pat fries dry with paper towels to eliminate moisture that prevents crisping and causes oil splattering.
- Season Immediately While Hot 🧂Season fries with sea salt and ground pepper within 30 seconds of removing from oil when they're still steaming—this allows seasonings to adhere perfectly.
- Use High-Smoke-Point Oil 🌡️Upgrade from regular olive oil to avocado or grapeseed oil (smoke point 400°F+) to achieve superior crispness without burnt flavors or oil breakdown.
