Tips & Tricks (5)
- Slice Kielbasa at an Angle 🔪Cut kielbasa into diagonal slices rather than rounds to increase surface area for better browning and more flavorful contact with the sauce.
- Bloom Your Spices in Oil 🌶️Toast the paprika and garlic in olive oil for 30 seconds before adding other ingredients to unlock deeper, more complex flavors in your skillet.
- Reserve Pasta Water for Sauce 💧Save one cup of starchy pasta water before draining and use it to adjust the sauce consistency—it helps the cream sauce cling beautifully to the farfalle.
- Shred Cheese Fresh, Add Late 🧀Use freshly shredded Monterey Jack cheese (not pre-shredded) and stir it in off-heat to prevent clumping and ensure a smooth, creamy sauce.
- Char Your Bell Peppers First 🫑Sear bell pepper pieces in the skillet with the kielbasa before deglazing to develop a slight char, adding depth and caramelized sweetness to balance the dish.
