Instructions
1
|
Chop the lettuce and tomatoes.
2
|
Mix the sour cream, cream cheese, and taco seasoning in a medium bowl. You can use a spoon, but I find I get a smoother dip bake when I use a mixer.
3
|
Fill the bottom of a large dish with the dip mixture, spreading it evenly.
4
|
Top with lettuce, then cheese, tomatoes, and olives.
5
|
Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour, or until ready to serve.

Tips & Tricks (5)
- Drain and Pat Dry Your Lettuce 🥬Wash and thoroughly dry your lettuce before chopping and layering—excess moisture will make the dip soggy and dilute the flavors, compromising texture throughout.
- Bloom Your Taco Seasoning 🌶️Mix taco seasoning with a tablespoon of warm water before stirring into the cream cheese layer to activate and distribute the spices evenly for consistent flavor in every bite.
- Use a Chilled Bowl Base 🧊Chill your serving bowl before assembly and keep the finished dip refrigerated until serving to maintain firm layers and prevent the cream cheese base from becoming runny.
- Layer Fresh Ingredients Last ✨Add the lettuce, tomatoes, and olives as the final layer just before serving rather than ahead of time to preserve their crispness, color, and vibrant texture.
- Create a Flavor Barrier with Sour Cream 🥄Spread a thin layer of sour cream between the cream cheese and vegetable layers to prevent moisture transfer and keep each ingredient distinctly flavorful and separate.
