Instructions

1
|
Preheat oven to 400℉.
2
|
Spray a 9×13 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
3
|
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef, ground sausage, diced onion and spaghetti seasoning
4
|
Break up the meat into crumbles and cook until meat is no longer pink, about 7-10 minutes. During the last minute of cooking, add minced garlic.
5
|
Drain off excess fat and add marinara sauce to the pan; stir until everything is combined.
6
|
Spread 1 cup of the meat sauce in the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
7
|
Layer one package of frozen ravioli in the dish and top with half of the remaining sauce. Top with 1 cup of mozzarella cheese.
8
|
Repeat the layers: remaining package of frozen ravioli, remaining sauce, remaining mozzarella cheese. Top with grated parmesan cheese.
9
|
Cover loosely with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the top is golden.

Tips & Tricks (5)

  • Brown Your Meat Properly 🍖
Cook the Italian sausage and ground beef separately in batches over medium-high heat until deeply browned before mixing—this builds flavor that elevates the entire dish beyond store-bought sauce.
  • Layer Cheese Strategically 🧀
Reserve half your mozzarella for the top layer and sprinkle it only in the last 5 minutes of baking to achieve a golden, bubbly crust while keeping interior layers creamy.
  • Prevent Soggy Ravioli 💧
Use frozen ravioli directly without thawing and reduce marinara sauce by simmering for 5 minutes to remove excess moisture, preventing a watery lasagna.
  • Bloom Your Seasonings 🌟
Toast the spaghetti seasoning, minced garlic, and diced onion in the hot meat drippings for 1-2 minutes before adding sauce to unlock deeper, more complex flavors.
  • Rest Before Serving ⏱️
Let the baked lasagna rest for 10 minutes out of the oven so the cheese sets and layers hold together when plating, preventing a messy, runny serving.
