Tips & Tricks (5)
- Butterfly and Score for Even Cooking 🦞Split the lobster tail lengthwise and gently score the meat in a crosshatch pattern to ensure the butter and garlic penetrate evenly while preventing the meat from curling during baking.
- Brown Your Garlic Butter First 🧈Toast minced garlic in melted butter over low heat for 1-2 minutes before pouring over lobster to develop deeper, more complex flavors without burning the delicate garlic.
- Pat Dry for Better Browning 🎯Use paper towels to thoroughly dry the lobster tail surface before cooking; this removes moisture that prevents proper browning and helps the paprika coating adhere better.
- Temperature Precision Prevents Rubbery Meat 🌡️Cook lobster tails to exactly 140°F internal temperature at the thickest point—even 5 degrees more will make the delicate meat tough and dry beyond redemption.
- Reserve Pan Drippings for Dipping Sauce 🍯Save every drop of the garlic-paprika butter left in the baking pan and drizzle it over the finished lobster or serve as a luxurious dipping sauce to maximize flavor and elegance.
