These healthy brownies have fewer than 100 calories each. At the same time, they are super moist, naturally sweet from bananas and pumpkin puree, and wonderfully chocolatey thanks to cocoa and a few chocolate chips. They’re easy to make, wholesome, and perfect as a guilt-free snack or treat that still satisfies your chocolate cravings.

Instructions

1
Preheat the oven to 180°C fan-forced or 200°C conventional. Peel the bananas, mash them finely with a fork, then mix in the pumpkin puree.
2
Add wholemeal flour, cocoa, baking powder, sugar and salt and mix with the pumpkin-banana puree.
3
Separate the eggs. Beat the egg whites in a separate bowl until stiff peaks form. Add the egg yolks to the batter and mix well. Gradually add a little milk until a smooth batter forms.
4
Gently fold the beaten egg whites into the batter. Line the baking pan with parchment paper or grease it with butter or oil. Pour the batter into the pan, smooth the surface, and sprinkle with chocolate sprinkles.
5
Bake brownies in the oven at 180°C fan-assisted or 200°C top/bottom heat for 25 minutes, or until a toothpick test shows little or no batter sticking to it.
6
Let the brownies cool completely for at least one to two hours. If possible, refrigerate them for an hour before serving to achieve their typical brownie texture. Carefully lift the chocolate cake out of the pan and cut it into nine equal pieces.
