  • 1  - butternut squash
  • 1 Tablespoon - butter
  • 2 Tablespoon - pure maple syrup
  • ¼ teaspoon - ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon - salt
  •  teaspoon - black pepper

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
  3. Chop the butternut squash into 3/4-inch cubes and transfer to a large mixing bowl.
  4. Drizzle the squash with the melted butter and maple syrup, and season with the cinnamon, salt, and black pepper. Use a rubber spatula to toss the squash until it is evenly coated in the syrup mixture.
  5. Arrange the squash in an even layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Roast the squash on middle rack of oven, stirring halfway through the cook time, until it is fork-tender and caramelized, 30-35 minutes.
  7. Check to see that squash is done. Remove from oven or add time as needed.
  8. Serve immediately.
