Tips & Tricks (5)

  • Bind Without Breadcrumbs 🥚
Use a mixture of egg and finely grated Parmesan cheese instead of breadcrumbs for a moister, more flavorful meatball that holds together perfectly without becoming dense.
  • Dice Vegetables Ultra-Fine ✂️
Mince your bell peppers, onions, and garlic into tiny pieces and squeeze out excess moisture with paper towels to prevent the meatballs from becoming wet and falling apart during cooking.
  • Don't Overmix the Meat 🤲
Handle the ground turkey mixture as little as possible—overmixing develops gluten and creates tough, compact meatballs instead of tender, light ones.
  • Chill Before Cooking ❄️
Refrigerate your prepared meatball mixture for at least 30 minutes to help them maintain their shape and cook evenly without flattening or spreading during searing.
  • Sear Then Bake for Perfection 🔥
Sear meatballs in a hot skillet for 2-3 minutes to develop a golden crust, then finish in a 375°F oven for 12-15 minutes to ensure even cooking and juicy centers without burning the exterior.
