Ingredients
Instructions
- Step 1
Spoon 4 teaspoons of Nutella onto parchment paper and form small dollops. Freeze for 30-60 minutes until they firm up.
- Step 2
In a large bowl, cream the softened butter with the brown sugar (and white sugar) until smooth.
- Step 3
Add the egg and vanilla extract and mix well.
- Step 4
Add the flour, baking powder (or baking soda), and salt directly into the bowl and mix until fully combined.
- Step 5
Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Step 6
Take a small portion of dough, flatten it in your hands, and place a frozen Nutella dollop in the center. Cover it with more dough and shape it into a ball. Slightly flatten the ball.
- Step 7
Place the dough balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving enough space between them. Bake at 175°C (350°F) for about 10-12 minutes, until the edges are golden brown and the center is still soft.
- Step 8
Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 10 minutes, then transfer them to a cooling rack.
