Ingredients
- 15 - unsweetened frozen tart shells*
- ¼ cup - salted butter*
- 1 ¼ cups - light brown sugar
- 2 - eggs
- 2 teaspoons - vanilla extract
- 1 ½ cups - pecans
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375℉. Arrange 15 frozen premade tart shells on a large baking sheet.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Continue whisking by hand or using an electric mixer for 2 minutes. The mixture should be smooth and frothy. (This ensures the sugar granules dissolve for a smooth filling that is not grainy.)
- Fold in the chopped pecans until incorporated. Distribute the filling evening between all 15 tart shells, filling each shell to the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-17 minutes or until the edges of the tart shells are golden and the pecans are toasty and fragrant. Let cool for at least 15 minutes before serving warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream, or let cool fully before serving. Enjoy!
