Tips & Tricks (5)

  • Pre-Cook Your Shells Slightly 🍝
Cook shells to just under al dente (about 1 minute less than package directions) so they stay firm when baked and won't tear during stuffing.
  • Caramelize Your Peppers and Onions 🧅
Cook vegetables over medium-high heat for 8-10 minutes until golden and slightly caramelized to develop deep, authentic Philly flavors that won't fade in the baked shells.
  • Shred Your Own Cheese for Better Melting 🧀
Freshly shredded American and provolone cheese melts more evenly and creates a creamier texture than pre-shredded varieties, which contain anti-caking agents.
  • Warm Your Alfredo Sauce Gently 🔥
Heat Alfredo sauce over low-to-medium heat and stir constantly to prevent separation and curdling, keeping the filling smooth and luxurious.
  • Don't Overstuff Your Shells 📌
Fill shells until just slightly dome-shaped rather than completely overflowing to ensure even heating, proper cheese melting, and easier plating without bursting.
