Tips & Tricks (5)
- Pat Asparagus Dry First 💧Thoroughly dry your asparagus with paper towels before wrapping to ensure the prosciutto crisps properly and prevents steam from making it soggy during roasting.
- Wrap at an Angle 🌪️Spiral the prosciutto diagonally around each spear rather than wrapping straight across—this creates more surface area for crisping and allows even heat circulation.
- Use a Hot Sheet Pan 🔥Preheat your baking sheet in a 400°F oven for 5 minutes before placing wrapped asparagus on it; this ensures immediate searing and maximum prosciutto crispness.
- Trim Asparagus Strategically ✂️Cut asparagus to 5-6 inches and remove woody ends with a snap break rather than a knife—this ensures tender, uniform pieces that cook evenly with the prosciutto.
- Finish with Acid and Heat 🍋Drizzle with quality olive oil and finish with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice or aged balsamic immediately after roasting while still hot to brighten flavors and add complexity.
