Ingredients
- 1 can - biscuit dough
- 1 cup - Powdered sugar
- ⅔ cup - Jelly
Instructions
- Place a cooling rack over a baking tray and set near the fryer.
- Heat your frying oil in a dutch oven on medium heat and monitor the temperature with a candy thermometer to make sure it reaches the desired level of 350F.
- Enlarge each biscuit by stretching it at least 1 to 2 inches wider.
- Once oil has reached the desired temperature, fry each donut separately for approximately 1 minute on each side until they turn golden brown.
- Place every fried donut on the cooling rack so that any extra oil can drain away.
- Fill the center of each donut with approximately 2 tablespoons of jelly using either a piping bag or baking syringe. Place the filled donuts back on the cooling rack and repeat the process for all the donuts.
- Sprinkle powdered sugar on top of each donut, then turn them over and repeat on the other side.
