Tips & Tricks (5)

  • Dry Your Brussels Sprouts Thoroughly 💧
Pat Brussels sprouts completely dry with paper towels before tossing with oil—moisture prevents crisping and creates steam instead of golden, caramelized edges.
  • Cut Sprouts Evenly for Uniform Cooking 🔪
Halve Brussels sprouts of similar size and arrange them cut-side down on the baking sheet to ensure even caramelization and consistent texture throughout.
  • Don't Crowd the Pan 📏
Spread Brussels sprouts in a single layer with space between each piece; overcrowding traps steam and prevents the crispy, caramelized exterior you're aiming for.
  • Add Parmesan in Two Stages ✨
Toss half the cheese midway through roasting and the remaining half in the final 2 minutes—this prevents burning while ensuring maximum cheesy flavor and texture.
  • Roast at High Temperature for Maximum Crispness 🔥
Use 400-425°F to achieve deep caramelization and crispy edges in 20-25 minutes; lower temperatures result in soft, steamed Brussels sprouts rather than the desired crunch.
