Tips & Tricks (5)
- Pre-Cook Your Noodles Al Dente 🍜Cook rice noodles until just barely tender (1-2 minutes under package time) since they'll continue absorbing sauce and heat during the stir-fry, preventing mushiness.
- Dry Your Shrimp Thoroughly 🦐Pat shrimp completely dry with paper towels before cooking to achieve a proper sear and prevent steam that dilutes your sauce's rich flavors.
- Mise en Place for Speed ⏱️Have all ingredients prepped and sauces combined in a bowl before cooking—this 30-minute dish requires rapid stir-frying where timing is critical.
- Bloom Your Aromatics in Oil 🌿Toast ginger paste and garlic in hot sesame oil for 30 seconds before adding other ingredients to release essential oils and deepen their aromatic complexity.
- Add Fresh Basil Last ✨Stir in fresh basil in the final 10 seconds of cooking to preserve its delicate flavor and vibrant color, which heat destroys quickly.
