  • 2 tablespoon - butter
  • 1 tablespoon - olive oil
  • 3 cloves - garlic
  • ¾ cup - shrimp
  •   - Salt and pepper
  • 1  - lemon
  •  Splash - white wine
  • ½ cup - parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup - Reserved pasta water
  •   - Red pepper flakes
  •   - parsley or basil

  1. Boil salted water and cook pasta until al dente. Reserve some pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add butter, olive oil, and minced garlic. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the shrimp and season with salt and pepper. Cook until pink and opaque, then remove shrimp from the pan.
  4. In the same pan, add lemon juice and white wine. Simmer for 2–3 minutes to reduce slightly.
  5. Stir in the parmesan until melted and smooth, then add the cooked pasta and a splash of reserved pasta water.
  6. Toss to combine and reintroduce the shrimp. Mix until evenly coated and heated through.
  7. Plate the pasta, then garnish with additional parmesan, red pepper flakes, and fresh herbs. Serve immediately.
