Ingredients
- 4 pounds - Boneless beef chuck roast
- ⅞ oz - Brown gravy mix
- ⅔ oz - Italian salad dressing mix
- ½ cup - Red wine
- ½ cup - Water
- 2 tablespoons - Worcestershire sauce
- 1 - Red bell pepper
- 1 - Onion
- 2 cloves - Garlic
- 1 tbsp - Cornstarch
- 1 tbsp - Cold water
Instructions
- Place roast in slow cooker and top with chopped peppers and onions.
- In a bowl, combine the gravy mix, salad dressing, wine, Worcestershire sauce and water; stir to combine.
- Pour sauce over beef in crock pot.
- Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours, or until meat is tender.
- When meat has finished cooking, remove beef from slow cooker and set aside. Transfer liquid from crock pot to a sauce pan over medium high heat.
- Stir together cornstarch and water to form a slurry.
- Pour slurry into saucepan and whisk until sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
- Slice beef and serve with thickened sauce.
