Tips & Tricks (5)
- Balance Your Sauce 🎯Taste your peanut sauce before adding it to noodles—adjust the sweet, spicy, and salty elements by adding small amounts of sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and fish sauce until perfectly balanced for your palate.
- Toast Peanuts for Depth 🥜Dry-toast your peanuts in a pan for 2-3 minutes before crushing them to unlock deeper, richer flavors that elevate the entire dish beyond raw peanuts.
- Reserve Starchy Pasta Water 💧Save 1/2 cup of the ramen cooking water before draining—use it to adjust sauce consistency and help it cling beautifully to the noodles for a silkier coating.
- Infuse Oil with Garlic Heat 🌶️Create a chili garlic oil by slowly heating neutral oil with minced garlic and dried chilies, then drizzle it over finished noodles for aromatic complexity and authentic Thai depth.
- Garnish Right Before Serving 🥬Add green onions and peanuts as a final garnish just before serving to maintain their fresh crunch and vibrant color rather than wilting them into the warm noodles.
