So, about 3 weeks ago I bought myself a GIANT bag of kale, a GIANT bag of spinach, and LOTS of frozen fruit and I’ve had a green smoothie pretty much every single morning since then. I absolutely LOVE it and pretty much plan on this being my breakfast forever. I’ve experimented with quite a few different flavor combos. This Strawberry Banana Green Smoothie has been my go-to lately.

Tips & Tricks (5)
- Freeze Your Greens First 🥶Freeze your kale and spinach in portions before blending to create a thicker, creamier smoothie without diluting it with ice cubes.
- Layer Ingredients Strategically 📚Add liquids first, then greens, then frozen fruit to ensure the blender can grip and process everything evenly without getting stuck.
- Massage Kale Before Freezing 🤲Gently massage fresh kale with a bit of lemon juice before freezing to break down cell walls and reduce bitterness in your smoothie.
- Balance Sweetness with Greens Ratio ⚖️Use a 1:1 ratio of frozen fruit to leafy greens by volume to mask the bitter taste of kale while keeping the smoothie nutritionally balanced.
- Blend in Stages for Smoothness 🔄Pulse the greens with liquid first for 30 seconds, then add frozen fruit to blend for a silky texture without over-processing and generating excess heat.
