Tips & Tricks (5)
- Muddle Basil Gently 🌿Lightly tap basil leaves with the back of a spoon rather than aggressively muddling to release oils without bruising and turning bitter.
- Macerate Strawberries in Advance 🍓Cut strawberries and toss with a teaspoon of honey 15-20 minutes before mixing to release their natural juices and intensify flavor.
- Chill Your Glassware 🧊Pre-chill margarita glasses in the freezer for at least 15 minutes to keep the drink perfectly cold longer and prevent the ice from melting too quickly.
- Use Fresh Lime Juice Only 🍋Always squeeze fresh limes just before mixing—bottled lime juice will dull the bright, tart flavor that defines this cocktail's character.
- Salt Rim Technique Matters 🧂Wet the rim with a strawberry-lime juice mixture instead of plain lime juice to create a complementary flavored salt rim that enhances the drink.
