Tips & Tricks (5)
- Room Temperature Ingredients 🌡️Bring butter and eggs to room temperature before mixing to ensure smooth incorporation and a more tender, evenly-textured bar with better rise and crumb structure.
- Don't Overmix the Dough 🥄Mix just until combined after adding flour to avoid developing gluten, which creates tough, dense bars instead of the soft, buttery texture you're aiming for.
- Even Thickness Matters 📏Press the dough evenly into the baking pan using an offset spatula or the bottom of a measuring cup to ensure uniform baking and consistent texture across all bars.
- Cool Completely Before Frosting ❄️Allow bars to cool to room temperature before applying frosting to prevent it from melting and sliding off, and for cleaner, more professional-looking presentation.
- Sea Salt Enhancement 🧂Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top of the frosting before the sprinkles to create a sweet-salty contrast that amplifies the vanilla flavor and adds sophistication.
