I could have called this recipe Simple Stuffing, but that doesn’t quite do it justice for just how easy it is. This is Super Simple Stuffing, and it’s going to blow your mind! This stuffing recipe only has just four main ingredients, and couldn’t be easier to prepare. It’s perfect if you’re trying to keep Thanksgiving low key this year, but want that classic, delicious stuffing on the table. This Super Simple Stuffing keeps things easy without sacrificing that classic holiday flavor, and it pairs perfectly with roasted turkey, creamy mashed potatoes, and a generous drizzle of gravy.

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons - butter
  • 2 stalks - celery
  • 1 - onion
  • 10 ounces packages - unseasoned croutons
  • 1 ½ cups - chicken stock
  • 1 tsp - dried thyme
  • ½ tsp - dried sage or poultry seasoning
  • 1 tsp - kosher salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large saucepan heat butter until melted.
  3. Add the onions and celery and saute over medium heat for 4-5 minutes, add the thyme, sage and salt. Saute an additional 2-3 minutes, until the vegetables are softened.
  4. To a large bowl, add the croutons, sauteed vegetables, and chicken stock. Fluff the mixture with a fork gently (make sure not to over-stir the mixture or it will become mushy).
  5. Transfer to a baking dish and bake for 30 minutes or until top is golden brown.
  6. Serve.
