Tips & Tricks (5)
- Reduce Your Balsamic First 🍯Simmer balsamic vinegar in a separate pan for 2-3 minutes before adding other glaze ingredients to concentrate its sweetness and eliminate harsh acidity for a smoother, more refined sauce.
- Pound for Even Cooking 🔨Gently pound chicken breasts to uniform ½-inch thickness so they cook evenly throughout, preventing dry edges while the center finishes cooking.
- Don't Skip the Sear 🔥Sear chicken skin-side down in a hot pan for 3-4 minutes before adding the glaze to develop a golden crust that locks in moisture and adds depth of flavor.
- Mince Your Garlic Fresh ✨Use freshly minced garlic rather than pre-minced to maximize aromatic compounds; add it in the last 30 seconds of glaze-making to prevent bitterness from overcooking.
- Glaze at the End 🎯Add your honey-balsamic-soy mixture only in the final 2-3 minutes of cooking so the sugars caramelize without burning, creating a glossy, clingy coating that coats the meat beautifully.
