If you’re anything like me you have your go-to recipes that you probably know by heart and the ones that you use for special occasions, when a certain ingredient is in season or maybe just have a bit of extra time to spend in the kitchen. Sweet Balsamic Glazed Chicken has quickly made it into our most frequently seen weeknight list. Balsamic vinegar is one of my favorite ingredients drizzled into a salad dressing, just a touch added at the end of making a pasta sauce to give it some bright acidity or mixed with something sweet in a pan glaze!

Tips & Tricks (5)
- Reduce Balsamic First 🍯Simmer your balsamic vinegar separately for 2-3 minutes before adding honey and garlic to concentrate its flavors and reduce acidity for a more balanced, syrupy glaze.
- Pat Dry for Perfect Crust 💧Pat chicken breasts completely dry with paper towels before searing—this removes moisture that prevents browning and helps develop a golden, caramelized exterior that locks in flavor.
- Pound for Even Cooking 🔨Gently pound chicken breasts to uniform thickness (about ¾ inch) to ensure they cook evenly throughout without dry edges or undercooked centers.
- Reserve Glaze Strategically 🥄Set aside half of your glaze before cooking and add it fresh at the end—this preserves bright acidity while the pan reduction caramelizes for complex depth.
- Soy Sauce Timing is Key ⏱️Add soy sauce only in the final minutes of cooking to prevent it from burning and turning bitter, preserving its umami complexity in your glaze.
