Tips & Tricks (5)
- Don't Overwork the Meat 🙌Mix the ground turkey gently and briefly—overworking creates dense, tough burgers. Combine ingredients just until barely incorporated for the juiciest texture.
- Oats as a Moisture Anchor 🌾The rolled oats absorb and retain moisture throughout cooking, preventing the lean turkey from drying out. They're the secret ingredient that keeps these burgers incredibly juicy.
- Chill Before Cooking ❄️Refrigerate your formed patties for at least 30 minutes before cooking so they hold their shape and cook evenly without falling apart on the grill or skillet.
- Create a Shallow Dimple 👇Press a small indent in the center of each patty with your thumb before cooking—this prevents the burger from puffing up and ensures even cooking throughout.
- Oil Your Pan, Not the Meat 🛢️Heat oil in your skillet or grill grates first, then add burgers to achieve a golden crust. Oiling the meat directly prevents proper browning and causes sticking.
