The Easiest Homemade Pizza Bagel Bites
Instructions
1
Preheat the oven to 425°F (218°C). Line 2 sheet pans with parchment paper.
2
Place the mini bagel halves cut side up about 1-inch apart on the prepared sheet pans. Spread 1 tablespoon (16 grams) of tomato sauce on top of each bagel halve. Evenly sprinkle the mozzarella and parmesan cheeses over the tops of the bagels. Then, top each bagel bite with a few slices of pepperoni and serrano peppers.
3
Bake the bagel bites for 12-15 minutes, until the cheese is melty and the bagels are toasty (but still chewy). Transfer the baked bites to a platter and sprinkle the basil over the top. Drizzle the bites with hot honey and garnish with oregano and red pepper flakes, if desired. Enjoy!

Tips & Tricks (5)
- Toast Bagels First for Crunch 🥯Lightly toast the mini bagels cut-side up for 2-3 minutes before adding toppings to create a crispy base that prevents sogginess from the sauce and cheese.
- Layer Cheese Strategically 🧀Place mozzarella first as a barrier against moisture, then add pepperoni and peppers, and finish with parmesan on top for optimal melting and browning.
- Drain Your Sauce 🍅Use a fine-mesh strainer to remove excess liquid from the roasted tomato sauce before spreading, preventing watery bagels and ensuring better texture.
- Freeze Before Final Bake 🧊Assemble the bagel bites and freeze them on a sheet pan for 30 minutes before baking—this prevents toppings from sliding off and ensures even cooking throughout.
- Add Hot Honey at the End 🍯Drizzle bourbon hot honey only after baking while bagels are still warm to preserve its complex flavors and prevent it from soaking into the bread.
