Instructions
1
|
Preheat the oven to 425°F (218°C). Line 2 sheet pans with parchment paper.
2
|
Place the mini bagel halves cut side up about 1-inch apart on the prepared sheet pans. Spread 1 tablespoon (16 grams) of tomato sauce on top of each bagel halve. Evenly sprinkle the mozzarella and parmesan cheeses over the tops of the bagels. Then, top each bagel bite with a few slices of pepperoni and serrano peppers.

|
Bake the bagel bites for 12-15 minutes, until the cheese is melty and the bagels are toasty (but still chewy). Transfer the baked bites to a platter and sprinkle the basil over the top. Drizzle the bites with hot honey and garnish with oregano and red pepper flakes, if desired. Enjoy!

Tips & Tricks (5)
- Toast Your Bagels First 🥯Lightly toast the bagel halves before adding toppings to create a crispy base that prevents them from becoming soggy and helps the cheese melt more evenly.
- Layer Cheese Strategically 🧀Place mozzarella on the sauce first, then pepperoni and serrano peppers, then top with parmesan—this prevents toppings from sliding off and ensures the cheese binds everything together.
- Chill Before Freezing 🧊Refrigerate assembled bagel bites for 15-20 minutes before freezing to help the cheese set and prevent toppings from shifting during the freeze-thaw cycle.
- Drizzle Hot Honey Last ✨Add the bourbon hot honey immediately after baking while the bagels are still warm—this allows it to soak into the cheese and bread rather than sliding off.
- Broil for Crispy Edges 🔆Finish the last 1-2 minutes under the broiler instead of just baking to achieve bubbly, slightly charred cheese and perfectly crispy bagel edges.
