Ingredients
- 12 - mini bagels
- 1 ½ cups - roasted tomato sauce
- 4 cups - whole milk mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup - freshly-grated parmesan cheese
- 2 ½ ounces - pepperoni
- 2 - serrano peppers
- ¼ cup - fresh basil
- bourbon hot honey
- red pepper flakes & oregano
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (218°C). Line 2 sheet pans with parchment paper.
- Place the mini bagel halves cut side up about 1-inch apart on the prepared sheet pans. Spread 1 tablespoon (16 grams) of tomato sauce on top of each bagel halve. Evenly sprinkle the mozzarella and parmesan cheeses over the tops of the bagels. Then, top each bagel bite with a few slices of pepperoni and serrano peppers.
- Bake the bagel bites for 12-15 minutes, until the cheese is melty and the bagels are toasty (but still chewy). Transfer the baked bites to a platter and sprinkle the basil over the top. Drizzle the bites with hot honey and garnish with oregano and red pepper flakes, if desired. Enjoy!
