Peel and finely dice the onion. Add it to a pan along with a teaspoon of oil and sauté over medium-high heat with a pinch of salt until translucent.

Meanwhile, mix the oats, cheese, and spices in a bowl. Add the onions, egg, and milk, and mix well with a spoon. Season with salt and pepper. Let the batter rest for 10 minutes.

Spread a little oil in the pan, add a heaping tablespoon of the meatball mixture, and shape it into a meatball using the back of the spoon. Fry for two to three minutes until the underside is golden brown, then turn and fry for another two to three minutes over medium heat until crispy. Repeat until all the mixture is used.
