Tips & Tricks (5)
- Pasta Water Magic 💧Always reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining - its starchy goodness helps bind the sauce and adds incredible depth to your baked spaghetti.
- Layering Technique 🧊Create distinct layers by spreading a thin layer of sauce on the bottom of the baking dish first, then alternating pasta, meat sauce, and white sauce for maximum flavor distribution.
- Cheese Melting Perfection 🧀Combine mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses, and add a light sprinkle of oregano on top before the final bake to create a golden, crispy cheese crust.
- Roux Mastery 🥄When making the white sauce, cook the flour and butter mixture for 2-3 minutes before adding milk to eliminate any raw flour taste and ensure a smooth, creamy texture.
- Moisture Control 💦Cook your ground beef until it's completely dry to prevent excess liquid from making your baked spaghetti watery, ensuring a rich and concentrated flavor.
