Ingredients

  • 1 - red pepper
  • 1 - white onion
  • 2 tablespoons - olive oil
  • 2 pounds - ground beef
  • 6 ounces cans - tomato paste
  • ¼ cup - coconut aminos
  • 1 tsp - paprika
  • 1 tsp - ground pepper
  • 1 cup - water
  • green onions

Instructions

  1. First, in a large skillet, add red pepper, onion and olive oil. Sauté for about 7-8 minutes or until onions become soft.
  2. Next, add in ground beef and cook on medium until brown and crumbly.
  3. Discard excess fat from pan. Then, add in remaining ingredients and bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat and let simmer for at least 15-20 minutes, adding more water if mixture becomes too dry. Lastly, remove from heat.
  5. Finally, garnish with chopped green onions if desired.
