If you're craving ribs but are short on time, these barbecue baby back ribs can be done in your oven in just 30 minutes! The recipe is a Yummly original created by Sara Mellas.
4 Ingredients

From the Cook
1/2
30-Minute BBQ Baby Back Ribs
Instructions
1
|
Preheat the oven to 400°F.
2
|
Line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil.
3
|
Season the pork ribs liberally with salt and black pepper on both sides. Place the ribs meat side up on the baking sheet.
4
|
Spread the barbecue sauce evenly over the top of the ribs.
5
|
Roast the ribs on middle rack of oven until nearly cooked through and lightly charred, 25-30 minutes. The internal temperature of the meat should be at about 180°F.
6
|
Set the oven to broil. Broil the ribs on top rack of oven until the barbecue sauce starts to caramelize, 4-5 minutes. Keep a close eye on the ribs to ensure they do not burn.
7
|
Check to see that the ribs are done. Remove from oven or add time as needed.
8
|
Allow the ribs to cool for 3-4 minutes on the baking sheet. Transfer the ribs to a cutting board. With a sharp knife, cut the ribs into desired portions, and serve immediately. Serve with additional barbecue sauce if desired.

Tips & Tricks (5)
- Membrane Removal Magic 🔪Always remove the tough silver skin membrane from the back of the ribs before seasoning to ensure tender, easily-eaten meat and better sauce penetration.
- Sauce Layering Technique 🖌️Apply barbecue sauce in thin layers during the last 10 minutes of cooking to prevent burning and create a perfect sticky glaze.
- Dry Rub Depth 🌶️For maximum flavor, massage the dry rub of black pepper and salt into the ribs thoroughly, ensuring even coverage on both sides.
- Rack Position Trick 🔥Place the ribs on the middle oven rack to ensure even heat distribution and prevent burning or undercooking.
- Foil Packet Moisture 💦Wrap ribs loosely in foil for the first part of cooking to trap moisture and ensure the meat stays juicy during the quick 30-minute preparation.
