Instructions
1
Preheat the oven to 425°F.
2
Line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a roasting rack on top. Cover the rack with another sheet of foil and spray with nonstick cooking spray. Use a knife to poke holes all over the foil.
3
Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. Season on both sides with salt and pepper.
4
Place the barbecue sauce and honey in a large mixing bowl and whisk to combine.
5
Transfer the chicken wings to the mixing bowl. Toss to evenly coat in sauce.
6
Arrange the chicken wings on the foil-covered roasting rack. Spoon any remaining honey-barbecue sauce over the wings.
7
Bake the chicken wings on middle rack of oven until browned and crispy, 45-50 minutes.
8
Check to see that chicken wings are done. Remove from oven or add time as needed.
9
Allow the chicken wings to cool on roasting rack for 3 minutes. Plate and serve immediately.

Tips & Tricks (5)
- Pat Wings Dry for Crispier Skin 🌫️Pat chicken wings completely dry with paper towels before seasoning to remove surface moisture, allowing the skin to crisp up beautifully during baking instead of steaming.
- Use a Wire Rack for Even Cooking 🔲Place wings on a wire rack set over a baking sheet rather than directly on the pan to allow hot air to circulate underneath, ensuring crispy coating on all sides.
- Apply Glaze in Two Stages ✨Brush honey-BBQ glaze halfway through baking and again in the final 5 minutes to build layers of sticky coating without burning, preventing the sauce from caramelizing too quickly.
- Mix Honey and BBQ Sauce Cold 🍯Combine your honey and barbecue sauce together before baking rather than drizzling separately, allowing the flavors to meld and create a more cohesive, balanced glaze.
- Increase Oven Temperature for Final Finish 🔥Bump your oven to 425°F for the last 3-5 minutes after glazing to caramelize the honey and BBQ sauce, creating a glossy, lacquered exterior with deep color.
