Tips & Tricks (5)
- Pat Dry for Crispier Results 🎯Use paper towels to thoroughly dry cod fillets before air frying—moisture is the enemy of even cooking and prevents the exterior from developing a delicate, slightly crispy texture.
- Oil Your Air Fryer Basket 🛢️Lightly coat the basket with olive oil or cooking spray before adding cod to prevent sticking and ensure the fish releases easily without tearing when you remove it.
- Layer Aromatics Underneath 🧄Place thin lemon slices and minced garlic on the basket bottom before laying the fillets on top—this infuses the cod with subtle flavor while elevating it slightly for better air circulation.
- Monitor at 9 Minutes 🕐Check your cod at the 9-minute mark (when air frying at 390°F) rather than waiting until completion, as fish cooks quickly and even 2-3 extra minutes can result in dry, overcooked fillets.
- Add Parsley at the End ✨Sprinkle fresh parsley and a squeeze of lemon juice immediately after air frying to preserve the herb's vibrant color and fresh flavor, which would fade if exposed to heat during cooking.
