Tips & Tricks (5)
- Noodle Texture Magic 🍝Slightly undercook the egg noodles before adding to the casserole, as they'll continue cooking in the sauce and prevent becoming mushy.
- Cheese Melting Technique 🧀Grate the cheddar cheese fresh and mix half into the sauce, then sprinkle the remaining on top for a perfect golden-brown crust.
- Flavor Layering Hack 🌶️Toast the onion powder and garlic salt in the pan with the ground beef to intensify their aromatics and deepen the overall flavor profile.
- Creamy Sauce Consistency 🥄Whisk the cream of mushroom soup and milk thoroughly to eliminate lumps and ensure a smooth, velvety sauce that coats every ingredient evenly.
- Frozen Pea Pro Tip 🥦Add frozen peas directly from the freezer in the last 5 minutes of baking to maintain their bright color and prevent overcooking.
