Tips & Tricks (5)
- Cheese Layering Technique 🧀Create distinct cheese layers by mixing ricotta with fresh basil and black pepper, then alternating with mozzarella for maximum flavor complexity.
- Pasta Water Magic 💧Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining - it helps create a silky, emulsified sauce that binds the ziti perfectly and prevents dryness.
- Broiler Brilliance 🔥For the ultimate golden-brown top, place the ziti 4-5 inches from the broiler and watch carefully, rotating the dish for even browning.
- Flavor Depth Hack 🌿Toast your dried herbs like parsley and garlic powder in olive oil for 30 seconds before adding other ingredients to intensify their aromatic profile.
- Moisture Control Trick 💦If the ziti looks dry before baking, mix in a few tablespoons of reserved pasta water to ensure a creamy, luscious texture.
