Tips & Tricks (5)
- Pre-char Your Flatbread 🔥Lightly toast your flatbread on a dry skillet for 1-2 minutes before adding toppings to create a crispy base that won't get soggy from the barbecue sauce.
- Shred Chicken for Better Texture 🍗Hand-shred your chicken into bite-sized pieces rather than cutting it; this creates more surface area for the barbecue sauce to coat and provides better mouthfeel in every bite.
- Layer Your Sauce Strategically 🎨Apply a thin base layer of barbecue sauce first, then add chicken and cheese, finishing with a second light sauce drizzle to prevent the bottom from becoming overly wet while keeping flavors balanced.
- Caramelize Your Onions Separately 🧅Quickly sauté your red and green onions in a hot pan for 2-3 minutes before adding them to develop sweetness and remove raw bite, elevating the overall flavor complexity.
- Use High-Quality Mozzarella for Melting 🧀Opt for fresh mozzarella or a blend with fontina rather than pre-shredded cheese, as it melts more evenly and creates a superior creamy texture without gelling.
