Instructions
1
Preheat the oven to 350℉. Line a 9x9-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
2
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar until combined. Add the vanilla extract and eggs and whisk well. Lastly, add the flour, salt, and cocoa powder and whisk until smooth. Pour into the prepared baking pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until no longer jiggly in the center.
3
Let cool completely before lifting the brownies out of the pan using the parchment paper edges to assist. Chop into chunks of your desired size. Store brownie chunks in the refrigerator to last longer. Enjoy!

Tips & Tricks (5)
- Bloom Your Cocoa Powder 🍫Whisk cocoa powder with a small amount of hot water or melted butter before adding to the batter to intensify chocolate flavor and eliminate grittiness for ultra-fudgy chunks.
- Brown Your Butter First 🧈Melt the salted butter until it turns golden brown with a nutty aroma, then cool slightly before mixing—this adds depth and richness that elevates standard brownies to gourmet level.
- Underbake for Chunk Texture 🎯Remove from oven when a toothpick still has moist crumbs attached (not fully clean), then cool completely before breaking into chunks to achieve that signature fudgy, chewy center.
- Use Dutch-Process Cocoa 🌑Substitute Dutch-process cocoa powder for deeper chocolate notes and smoother texture; it's more expensive but transforms the flavor profile from good to exceptional.
- Chill Dough Before Baking ❄️Refrigerate your batter for 30 minutes before spreading into the pan to prevent excessive spreading and create denser, more distinct brownie chunks with better structural integrity.
