Chicken Bacon Ranch Pasta
Instructions
1
|
Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1/4 cup of pasta water and drain.
2

In a large skillet, heat olive oil and cook chopped bacon until crispy. Remove and set on paper towels.
3

In the same skillet, cook seasoned chicken in bacon grease until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
5

Add butter to the same skillet. Sauté diced onion and minced garlic until fragrant, about 2 minutes.
6

Pour in heavy cream. Season with remaining garlic powder, onion powder, and ranch seasoning. Simmer for 3–5 minutes.
7

Add cheddar cheese, 1/2 cup mozzarella, and Parmesan. Stir until smooth and melted.
8

Mix in cooked pasta, a splash of pasta water, cooked chicken, and bacon. Stir well.
9
|
For extra cheesiness, stir in remaining 1/2 cup mozzarella before serving.

Tips & Tricks (5)
- Bacon Crispness Mastery 🥓Start bacon in a cold pan and cook slowly to render fat evenly and achieve maximum crispiness without burning.
- Pasta Water Magic 💧Always reserve 1 cup of starchy pasta water before draining, which helps create a silky, clingy sauce that perfectly coats the orecchiette.
- Ranch Seasoning Technique 🌶️Toast the ranch seasoning in butter for 30-45 seconds before adding cream to bloom its flavors and create a more complex taste profile.
- Chicken Moisture Lock 🍗Brine chicken breast in saltwater for 30 minutes before cooking to ensure maximum moisture and prevent dry, tough meat.
- Cheese Melting Precision 🧀Remove the pasta from direct heat and add cheeses gradually, stirring constantly to create a smooth, emulsified sauce without breaking or becoming grainy.
