Tips & Tricks (5)
- Master the Sauce Emulsion 🧈Add reserved pasta water gradually to your cream sauce to achieve the perfect silky consistency and help the sauce cling to the gnocchi without becoming too thick or thin.
- Toast Your Tomato Paste 🍅Sauté the tomato paste in olive oil for 1-2 minutes before adding cream to deepen its flavor and remove any raw, acidic taste for a more sophisticated sauce.
- Handle Burrata with Care ❄️Add burrata cheese at the very end and serve immediately—the residual heat will gently warm it without causing the creamy center to separate or lose its luxurious texture.
- Bloom Your Dried Spices 🌿Bloom the garlic powder and onion powder in warm olive oil for 30 seconds before adding other ingredients to activate their flavors and prevent them from tasting dusty or flat.
- Gnocchi Pre-Test for Doneness ✨Test one gnocchi piece by cutting it in half—it should have no dense, raw potato center; this ensures your entire batch will have the perfect pillowy texture when finished cooking.
