Tips & Tricks (5)
- Bone-In Brilliance 🦴Choose thick, bone-in pork chops for maximum flavor and moisture, as the bone helps retain juiciness during slow cooking.
- Mushroom Magic 🍄Sauté mushrooms briefly before adding to the crock pot to intensify their umami flavor and prevent watery texture.
- Seasoning Layer Technique 🧂Create a dry rub by mixing paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to coat pork chops evenly before slow cooking.
- Gravy Depth Hack 🥄Add a splash of white wine or a tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce to the broth mixture for deeper, more complex flavor.
- Moisture Preservation 💧If using lean pork chops, place a layer of sliced onions at the bottom of the crock pot to create a moisture barrier and prevent drying.
