Tips & Tricks (5)
- Dry Brine with Sea Salt 🧂Apply sea salt generously 40 minutes before cooking to allow moisture reabsorption and create a flavorful crust that enhances the Denver steak's natural tenderness.
- Avocado Oil's High Smoke Point 🔥Use avocado oil instead of butter for the initial sear since its high smoke point (520°F) prevents burning and creates a perfect crust without off-flavors.
- Butter Basting Technique 🧈During the final 2-3 minutes, add butter and fresh crushed garlic to the pan, then continuously spoon the foaming butter over the steak for incredible tenderness and rich flavor.
- Room Temperature Rest Before Cooking ⏱️Remove the Denver steak from refrigeration 20-30 minutes before cooking to ensure even heat distribution and prevent a cold center in this quick 15-minute recipe.
- Fresh Herb Layering Method 🌿Add half your fresh herbs during cooking and finish with the remaining herbs after resting to balance deep cooked flavors with bright, aromatic top notes.
