Instructions
1

Slice your fresh ginger into quarter-inch thick discs. Use a vegetable peeler to remove a long segment of lemon peel (for the mildest flavor) or use a sharp knife to slice a piece of lemon.
2
|
Place the sliced ginger root, lemon peel, or segment and honey into a mug or whatever you're going to steep the tea. Pour the hot water over all the ingredients and let steep for four minutes before drinking.
3
|
Once the tea you have steeped for four minutes, you can choose whether or not you want to remove the ginger and lemon or keep it in the beverage and just sit around them.

Tips & Tricks (5)
- Ginger Freshness Hack 🧊Store fresh ginger in the freezer and grate it directly when frozen - this prevents fiber stringiness and makes slicing incredibly easy.
- Flavor Infusion Technique 🌿Slice ginger thinly and bruise the pieces slightly before steeping to release maximum essential oils and create a more robust, complex flavor profile.
- Honey Incorporation Pro Tip 🍯Always add honey after the tea has cooled slightly to preserve its beneficial enzymes and prevent potential nutrient degradation from high temperatures.
- Acid Balance Mastery 🍋Add fresh lemon juice just before serving to maintain its bright, zesty notes and prevent the tea from becoming bitter during extended steeping.
- Medicinal Potency Boost 💪Let the ginger steep for at least 10 minutes to extract maximum anti-inflammatory compounds and therapeutic properties.
