Tips & Tricks (5)
- Brown Your Butter First 🧈Melt butter and let it cool slightly before mixing to develop a rich, nutty caramel flavor that deepens the blondies' taste profile and adds complexity.
- Use Room Temperature Eggs 🥚Allow eggs to sit at room temperature for 15 minutes before mixing to ensure proper emulsification and create a more tender, cake-like crumb in your blondies.
- Don't Overmix Your Batter 🥣Fold ingredients gently by hand after combining wet and dry ingredients to avoid overdeveloping gluten in the flour substitute, which keeps the texture gooey rather than dense.
- Under-Bake for Gooey Centers ⏱️Remove blondies when the center still jiggles slightly (about 2-3 minutes before fully set) and let carryover heat finish cooking them for perfect chewy edges and soft centers.
- Toast Your Chocolate Chips 🍫Lightly toast chocolate chips in a dry skillet for 2-3 minutes before adding to enhance their depth and prevent them from sinking to the bottom during baking.
