Tips & Tricks (5)
- Whip Egg Whites to Peak Perfection 🥚Whip egg whites until stiff peaks form before folding into your dry ingredients—this creates maximum crunchiness while minimizing oil needed, resulting in a lighter, airier granola texture.
- Toast Nuts Separately for Even Crispness 🌰Toast your mixed nuts for 5-7 minutes before adding to the mixture, ensuring they achieve optimal crunchiness and deeper flavor without over-baking during the full granola cooking time.
- Stir Every 5 Minutes for Golden Consistency 🥄Break up clumps and stir your granola every 5 minutes during baking to ensure even browning and prevent burnt edges while maintaining the desired large clusters.
- Cool Completely Before Storage for Ultimate Crunch 🧊Allow granola to cool completely on the baking sheet for 15-20 minutes before transferring to containers—this sets the crunch as it cools, preventing sogginess during storage.
- Add Dried Fruits After Cooling 🍇Mix in dried fruits only after the granola has completely cooled to prevent them from softening and to maintain their chewy texture contrast against the crispy granola base.
