Tips & Tricks (5)
- Pat Zucchini Dry First 💧Use paper towels to thoroughly dry your zucchini sticks before breading—excess moisture prevents crispiness and causes the coating to slide off during air frying.
- Double-Dip for Extra Crunch 🥚Dip zucchini in egg, coat with flour mixture, then dip again in egg and cornflake mixture for a thicker, crunchier crust that holds up better in the air fryer.
- Freeze Before Air Frying ❄️Refrigerate or freeze breaded zucchini sticks for at least 30 minutes before cooking—this helps the coating stay intact and crisps up perfectly without the inside overcooking.
- Season the Coating Generously 🧂Mix your paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder directly into the flour-cornflake mixture rather than seasoning after cooking, ensuring every bite has balanced, embedded flavor.
- Arrange Single Layer & Shake Halfway 🔄Place zucchini sticks in a single layer without overlapping, then gently shake the basket halfway through cooking for even, uniform crispiness on all sides.
