Tips & Tricks (5)
- Spice Layering Technique 🌶️Toast whole spices like cloves and cinnamon stick in a dry pan for 30-60 seconds before brewing to intensify their aromatic oils and deepen the chai's flavor profile.
- Ginger Infusion Hack 🧊Grate fresh ginger instead of chopping to maximize surface area and release more intense flavors into your chai latte, ensuring a more robust spice extraction.
- Milk Steaming Secret 🥛Use whole milk and heat it slowly to around 150-160°F to create a creamy, velvety texture without scalding, which can make the milk taste bitter.
- Sweetness Balance Trick 🍯Add brown sugar directly to the spice and tea brewing process to caramelize the sugars slightly, creating a more complex and rounded sweetness.
- Spice Blend Preservation 🌿Freshly grind your whole spices just before brewing to capture maximum essential oils and ensure the most vibrant, authentic chai flavor possible.
