1/2
Honey-Dijon Baked Chicken Wings
Instructions
1
Preheat the oven to 425°F.
2
Line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top. Cover the rack with another sheet of foil and spray with nonstick cooking spray. Use a knife to poke holes all over the foil.
3
Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels.
4
Season the chicken wings on both sides with salt and pepper.
5
Place the Dijon mustard, honey, and dried thyme in a large mixing bowl. Whisk to combine.
6
Place the chicken wings in the mixing bowl. Using a rubber spatula, toss the wings to coat evenly.
7
Arrange the chicken wings on the foil-covered roasting rack. Spoon any remaining honey-Dijon glaze over the wings.
8
Bake the chicken wings on middle rack of oven until browned and crisp, 45-50 minutes.
9
Check to see that wings are done. Remove from oven or add time as needed.
10
Allow the chicken wings to cool on the roasting rack for 3 minutes, then transfer to a plate and serve immediately.

Tips & Tricks (5)
- Pat Wings Dry for Maximum Crispiness 🌬️Pat chicken wings completely dry with paper towels before coating—moisture is the enemy of crispy skin, and this simple step dramatically improves texture and browning.
- Arrange Wings on Elevated Racks 📍Place wings on a wire rack set over your baking sheet to allow hot air to circulate underneath, creating crispy edges on all sides without flipping.
- Whisk Honey and Mustard Thoroughly 🥄Emulsify the honey and Dijon mustard together before coating to create a stable, glossy sauce that adheres better and won't separate during baking.
- Baste Midway Through Baking 🍯Brush the honey-mustard mixture halfway through cooking time to build layered flavor and ensure an even, caramelized glaze across all wings.
- Finish Under the Broiler for Extra Caramelization 🔥In the final 2 minutes, switch to broil setting to create a slightly charred, deeply caramelized exterior that enhances both sweetness and visual appeal.
